Psychologists, LCSWs, LMFTs, and LCPCs are encouraged to consider an available Team Leader position with Liberty Healthcare at the Illinois Department of Human Services Treatment & Detention Facility (TDF).

The TDF provides sex-offense specific treatment in a safe, structured residential environment. The TDF’s treatment program focuses on the individualized needs of the residents and treats each resident respectfully, with dignity, and with the belief that all individuals can change and achieve improved health and wellbeing.

Liberty Healthcare’s clinical team is comprised of over forty Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Counselors, Behavioral Technicians, Recreation Therapists and ancillary professionals who collectively serve the behavioral health needs of over four hundred people.

Liberty also promotes research and training through APPIC-accredited and APA-contingent accredited Psychology Internship and Post Doctoral Fellowship programs at the TDF.

The TDF’s residential program dovetails with a community-based program which provides continued treatment, supervision, case management and monitoring to residents who have been conditionally released into the community.

Located in the town of Rushville in west central Illinois, the TDF is commutable from Macomb (home of Western Illinois University). Springfield, Chicago, Peoria, St. Louis, Indianapolis and the Quad Cities are all within a few hours’ drive.

As a Team Leader at the TDF, you will enjoy a mix of direct care and leadership responsibilities, including:

  • Ensuring program clients receive high quality behavioral health services
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Technicians
  • Collaborating with the program’s Clinical Director and serving as a contributing member of the clinical leadership team
  • Leading multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Administering mental health assessments
  • Cofacilitating group treatment sessions

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • Salary commensurate with the responsibilities of this position and your credentials

  • Option to work a compressed 4-day workweek
  • Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance
