The Role

The Team Leader, Sexual Assault oversees the day-to-day performance of an assigned operational team, combining leadership responsibilities with hands-on operational support to ensure claimant matters progress efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with trauma-informed service principles, client requirements, and organizational standards.

The Team Leader serves as the first point of escalation for team members, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely completion of operational activities while fostering a culture of empathy, accountability, collaboration, and claimant-centered service.

  • Lead and supervise assigned team members, providing guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for team questions, claimant concerns, and operational issues.

  • Monitor workloads, productivity, quality standards, and service levels across the team.

  • Conduct audits and quality reviews, providing direct feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Support onboarding, training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Promote trauma-informed communication practices and survivor-centered service delivery across the team.

  • Collaborate with management to implement process improvements, operational initiatives, and workflow enhancements.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support successful claimant outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.

  • Maintain a culture of professionalism, trust, compassion, and accountability.

We're Excited About You Because You Have...

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in legal operations, claimant services, victim advocacy, healthcare, social services, case management, or a related environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex claimant matters and emotionally sensitive situations.

  • Prior leadership, supervisory, mentoring, or team lead experience.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed communication principles and claimant-centered service delivery.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.

Bonus Points If You Have...

  • Experience supporting survivors of trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, or similarly sensitive populations.

  • Experience working in legal services, healthcare, victim advocacy, or social services environments.

  • Training or certification in trauma-informed care.

  • Experience leading quality improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
