 Team Leader - Weld & Assembly


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Must be able to work onsite and in the plant as required.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of assembly operators to meet daily production goals.
  • Assign task, balance workloads, and adjust staffing based on production needs.
  • Ensure associates follow defined welding and repack procedures to comply with quality requirements.
  • Ensure all production inspection forms (part checks) are completed accurately.
  • Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed.
  • Observe workers and machines to detect errors or malfunctions and orders corrective actions.
  • Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffs.
  • Train new team members on assembly processes, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
  • Enable effective communication between management and operators.
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends, and overtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Must obtain Hilo license within 6 months of accepting the position.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 months of accepting the position.
  • Must be willing to learn how to operate walkie stackers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and production schedules.
  • Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks.

This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Manager.
