Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Team Member to join our ranc's fam! Weekday afternoon/evening (shifts vary between 9:30am-10:306pm) and occasional weekend help is needed.Team members are the face of Ranc's and play an integral role in our customer’s experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve ice cream and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail. Year round help is preferred, we do not hire only for the summer.

Responsibilities:
- Take food and beverage orders from customers
- Answer questions about the menu and preparation
- Provide accurate response for customer inquiries
- Create custom ice cream cakes
- Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
- Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Work with fellow team members to ensure side tasks are being completed for the shift
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server is preferred
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25lbs
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Our Story
Rancatore's Ice Cream was founded in 1985 by Joe Rancatore. Joe learned customer service in the '60s and '70s by watching his dad assist clients at Macy’s in NYC and helping Harvey Kopman serve hungry customers at the Posh Nosh Deli in Clayton, MO. In 1981 at the age of 27 Joe moved to Cambridge to help his brother manage Toscanini’s Ice Cream, leaving four years later to open his own ice cream shop in Belmont. Through word of mouth, a consistent product, and many catered community events, Ranc's slowly gained the affection of locals and out-of-town visitors alike.
Rancatore’s Ice Cream continues to grow and change, but we maintain the same principles that we began with at our original Belmont St location: Attentive customer service, great tasting ice cream, hot fudge made from scratch, and a deep sense of gratitude for our employees and the communities that support us.
