The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Burlington to find qualified candidates for various front end and back end store positions in Staten Island, New York. Burlington Stores is a leading national off-price retailer offering quality, brand-name merchandise at everyday low prices. Position Overview:This posting is for multiple entry level in-store opportunities, including Sales Associate, Cashier, and Stock Associate positions. Associates play an important role in delivering a positive shopping experience by supporting customers, maintaining store operations, and contributing to a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment. Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively and assist in multiple areas of the store as business needs require.
These positions are located across multiple stores in Staten Island, New York.
Key Responsibilities:Sales Associate
- Greet and assist customers
- Help customers locate merchandise
- Maintain sales floor organization and cleanliness
- Support merchandising and product displays
- Assist with register transactions and bagging
Cashier
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle returns, exchanges, and layaways
- Maintain a positive checkout experience
Stock Associate
- Receive and unload shipments
- Sort, ticket, and stock merchandise
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor
- Support overall store operations
- No prior retail experience required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable multitasking and working as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to learn and grow
