The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Miller’s Ale House to find qualified candidates for a Team Member position in Staten Island, NY. Miller’s Ale House is a casual dining restaurant and sports bar chain known for its lively atmosphere, extensive menu, and commitment to guest satisfaction. Founded in 1988, the company has grown to operate numerous locations across the United States, offering a mix of American cuisine, craft beers, and signature cocktails. The brand emphasizes a team-oriented work culture, valuing integrity, respect, and collaboration among employees.
 

 

Position Overview:

A Team Member at Miller’s Ale House plays a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. They are responsible for greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that dining areas are clean and well-maintained. Team Members also support daily restaurant operations by helping with food preparation, following safety and cash-handling procedures, and collaborating with coworkers to maintain smooth service. 

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist guests warmly to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Answer guest questions and provide menu recommendations.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Serve food and drinks in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and presentation as needed.
  • Ensure orders are complete and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, kitchen, and workstations.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is in working order.
  • Work closely with coworkers to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management about tasks or guest needs.
  • Support team members during peak hours to maintain service standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in restaurants, cafes, bars, or retail is a plus.
  • Must be friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or customer service roles is a plus.
  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Problem-solving skills to address guest questions or minor issues.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and move for most of a shift.
  • Must be eager to learn and grow within the company.
Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
