At Chick-fil-A Vista, all new Team Members begin their journey in the Back of House, learning the foundation of our operations through food preparation, kitchen systems, and operational excellence. We believe that understanding how we prepare and deliver quality food is essential to building a strong and successful team. As business needs allow and opportunities arise, high-performing Team Members may be cross-trained into guest-facing positions and additional areas of the restaurant.

Back of House Team Member Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently while meeting Chick-fil-A standards
• Learn and become proficient in all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, boards, assembling, and food prep
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen
• Stock and manage kitchen inventory as needed
• Stay up-to-date on new products and operational procedures
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and communicate maintenance concerns to Leadership
• Complete all assigned training and ongoing development requirements
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
• Adhere to Chick-fil-A appearance, uniform, and conduct standards at all times
• Support team operations in other areas as business needs require

Growth Opportunities:

All Team Members begin in the Back of House to build a strong operational foundation. As Team Members demonstrate consistency, leadership, coachability, and strong performance, opportunities for cross-training into guest-facing and leadership development roles may become available based on business needs.
