Team Scheduler

Charleston GI has been developing since 1989, our practice is the first and largest gastroenterology practice in the Lowcountry to operate a physicians' practice and three nationally certified and state licensed endoscopy centers. Our team includes ten outstanding Board Certified Gastroenterologists, with a combined experience of over 100 years of treating patients.

Duties:

• Responsible for scheduling patient appointments, tests and procedures.
• Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
• Confirms patient insurance eligibility.
• Communicates with patients regarding instructions for appointments, procedures and tests.
• Collect fees such as copays/ co-insurance.
• Requesting authorizations if necessary.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates that possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years experience in health care and scheduling

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Work independently

Manage multiple priorities

Outstanding customer service skills

Experience with high patient volume

Excellent telephone etiquette and manner, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to exercise tact under pressure

Ability to work in a team environment and effectively contribute as a member of a team

Excellent time management and organizational skills
