Team Success Leader (HR & Payroll)

Commercial Landscape Company | Northeast Florida / SE Georgia / Coastal South Carolina

Build the Culture. Drive the Experience. Be the Backbone of a Growing $20M+ Organization.

If you’re someone who thrives on organization, people, and making a real impact behind the scenes—this role is for you.

We’re a fast-growing commercial landscape company serving Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia, and Coastal South Carolina, on track to exceed $20M in revenue in 2026. Our success is built on strong teams, high standards, and a culture that values accountability, growth, and doing things the right way.

We’re looking for a Team Success Leader—a hands-on HR and Payroll professional who will play a critical role in supporting our people, strengthening our systems, and helping us scale.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Be a key player in a growing company with real momentum
  • Direct exposure to leadership (CEO, Director of Operations, Director of Administration)
  • Influence company culture, hiring, and team experience
  • Own and improve systems—not just maintain them
  • Work in an industry that’s stable, essential, and growing

What You’ll Own

This is not a narrow HR role—you’ll be involved across people, payroll, compliance, and culture.

HR Operations & Team Support

  • Manage and continuously improve HR systems, records, and compliance
  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a great employee experience
  • Support recruiting efforts (job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination)
  • Assist with H-2B program coordination and internships
  • Administer benefits, worker’s comp claims, and employee documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Participate in employee relations matters (discipline, investigations, terminations)
  • Support internal communications (newsletter, announcements, engagement initiatives)
  • Help plan company events, team celebrations, and culture-building activities

?? Payroll & Compliance

  • Own payroll processing with accuracy and consistency
  • Manage payroll tax filings and compliance (quarterly and annual)
  • Coordinate W-2s and 1095 reporting
  • Serve as the main liaison with payroll provider (Paycor)
  • Partner with Finance to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy

    Culture & Growth
  • Be an advocate for team members and company values
  • Support leadership with compensation and benefits insights
  • Strengthen internal communication and team engagement
  • Help create a workplace that people want to stay and grow in

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and people-oriented—someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to fix.

Experience & Background

  • 2+ years in HR, payroll, or administrative operations
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paycor preferred)
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Background in construction, landscaping, or field-based industries is a plus

Skills That Matter

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Professional, approachable, and confident in handling sensitive situations
  • Self-starter mentality with strong problem-solving ability

Work Environment & Schedule

  • In-office role
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Occasional involvement in company events and team initiatives

What Success Looks Like

  • Payroll runs flawlessly—every time
  • Employees feel supported, informed, and valued
  • HR systems are organized, compliant, and efficient
  • Hiring pipelines stay active and productive
  • Leadership trusts you as a go-to resource
