Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company reclaiming the lost art of rapid iterative prototyping to build the fastest aircraft in the world today. By prioritizing relentless hardware iteration, we deliver high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield. We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.
About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Teamcenter / NX Manager to lead and scale our PLM capability within a fast-paced, complex hardware engineering environment. As the technical and operational owner of our Siemens Teamcenter and NX ecosystem, you will lead a growing PLM team while partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to prioritize initiatives, optimize engineering workflows, and drive the evolution of our digital product development environment. This is a foundational leadership role where you'll help build the team, establish scalable processes, and mature our PLM operating model as the company grows.
This is a player-coach role - not a traditional people manager. You'll be expected to lead the team, set priorities, make technical decisions, and remain hands-on in Teamcenter/NX by supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You'll drive enhancements across change management, CAD and BOM governance, workflow optimization, and user experience while helping establish a scalable digital thread connecting PLM with ERP, MES, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
7+ years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, and supporting Siemens Teamcenter/NX, or comparable enterprise PLM platforms in an engineering or complex product development environment, including workflows, access control, data structures, release statuses, production support, and end-user support.
Prior experience managing, mentoring, or leading technical team members in a PLM, CAD, engineering systems environment.
Strong understanding of engineering release processes, ECN/ECO workflows, BOM management, CAD data management, document control, configuration management, and product lifecycle processes.
Experience working directly with engineering organizations in complex hardware, aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, industrial, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders, prioritize competing requests, and translate business needs into scalable system and process improvements.
Strong troubleshooting skills across complex system, workflow, configuration, performance, integration, and user issues.
Comfortable operating in an early-stage or high-growth environment where processes are still being defined and leaders are expected to contribute both managerially and technically.
Clear communicator who can work effectively with engineering users, business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, direct reports, and leadership.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience managing a Teamcenter/NX, CAD, PLM, engineering applications, or enterprise systems team.
Experience implementing, upgrading, migrating, or significantly enhancing Teamcenter environments.
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or other complex hardware development environments.
Knowledge of PLM integrations with ERP, MES, CAD, manufacturing, quality, supplier collaboration, or data warehouse platforms.
Experience improving digital thread connectivity across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and enterprise systems.
Familiarity with CAD data management, derivative generation, JT/PDF/STEP/DXF outputs, visualization, and downstream manufacturing data consumption.
Experience building PLM governance, documentation, support models, training materials, operational metrics, and scalable support processes.
Familiarity with Agile, program management, roadmap planning, or cross-functional execution.
