Tear Down/Drivetrain Assistant Technician

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to tear down of transfer cases.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receives direction from team lead on priority teardowns.
• Remove internal bearings, and gears and discard them appropriately.
• Work with the builders/drivetrain technicians to identify units that need to be torn down.
• Stage removed parts for wash and blast.  
• Wash and blast components and cases
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, properly disposing of worn parts
• Other tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shop

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Basic automotive or mechanical skills
• Familiarity and/or use of power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop

Compensation details: 18.55-21 Hourly Wage
