Job Description:
The Tech Field Geologist 2 will support field-based geological and environmental investigations. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee drilling and monitoring well installation programs
- Perform soil and rock logging
- Conduct site characterization and contamination assessments
- Install and manage groundwater monitoring equipment
- Collect and report environmental and geological data
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Prepare detailed field logs and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Experience with field investigations and drilling methods
- Soil and rock logging expertise
- Groundwater monitoring and well construction knowledge
- Environmental sampling and testing experience
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations
- Proficiency in:
- gINT BoreDM
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Safety-first mindset
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology (preferred)
- Geological Engineering or related field (accepted)
