Job Summary
The Tech I scans, picks, transports, and puts medical supplies in the clean supply room for department usage.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Scans all materials managed locations on a predetermined time table to trigger reorder of needed supplies.
- Prints pick sheets generated from scanning activities to guide picking and putting away activities.
- Pick/Pull items from the main stock room (Materials Management Room) to stock in other areas. Stages, packages, or compiles the items for delivery to the end users.
- Delivers supplies via a cart to areas in the hospital and adjacent to the hospital. Stocks supplies in appropriate bins.
- Fulfills items in our ERP system to ensure that inventory is accurate.
- Participates in room expiration date checks, audits, recall item removal and inventory activities.
- Helps walk-ins and phone calls requesting other supplies, stages and/or delivers items depending on urgency of need and proximity of location.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Licenses and/or Certifications:
Required Work experience:
- Experience following a daily schedule.
- Experience working in a customer centered environment.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- General computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK)
- PREFERRED: Experience with Netsuite

Hospital, physician offices, clinics, offsite departments/offices, other medical facilities
Physical demands:
Frequent: Lifting up to 20lbs
Occasional: Lifting up to 60lbs with assistance as needed
Occasional: Pushing/pulling carts up to 60lbs
Frequent: Standing/ walking for up to 7 hours per day.
Fine Motor: Minimal.
Computer: Daily use required
Occasional: Climbing stairs
Frequent: Stooping, kneeling, and crouching to pick up coolers, boxes, bags, and plastic tubs.
Environmental conditions
Activities occur mainly inside, occasional need to walk outside in all kinds of weather conditions.
