Core Duties:
- Innovate and execute on the design of embedded systems used in products like vehicle lighting and control modules.
- Oversee hardware creation including schematic designs and the layout of PCBs while ensuring functionality through rigorous testing.
- Lead a cross-disciplinary team with an emphasis on making strategic technical decisions.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers, as well as manufacturing teams to produce dependable, manufacture-ready solutions.
- Devise product frameworks, select appropriate components like microcontrollers and sensors, and ensure products comply with industry standards.
- Prioritize projects, manage schedules, and allocate resources efficiently within your team.
- Facilitate the process of product validation and transition into full-scale manufacturing.
- Further advancement of development processes with a focus on documentation and achieving high design standards.
- Create and uphold system specifications and test protocols for hardware components.
- Inspire engineering excellence and innovation through improved practices and methodologies.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in microcontroller-centric hardware design, particularly with the ARM processor family.
- Proficient in designing electronics with a focus on EMI/EMC compliance.
- Skilled in using schematic capture and PCB design tools, ideally Altium.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of communication interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Proficiency in integrating wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills with a proven ability to work across departments.
- Experienced with lab testing equipment like oscilloscopes and signal generators.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
