Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in software development and a strong focus on Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing scalable data solutions in a cloud environment. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Databricks.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance.
Optimize existing data workflows and troubleshoot performance issues.
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and its ecosystem.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architectures.
Solid understanding of SQL and database technologies.
Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10 15 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering.
Proven experience working with Azure Databricks in a professional setting.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
