Job Description:
End-to-End Tech Lead (NARP & Business Banking)
Apex Systems is supporting a Top 5 Canadian bank in hiring an End-to-End Tech Lead to support NARP (North American Retail Payments) and Business Banking portfolios.
This role requires a hands-on, technically credible leader who can own end-to-end design, data orchestration, and system integration across complex, multi-platform banking environments. The ideal candidate operates as a technical owner and translator between business and engineering, with strong depth in data, APIs, and batch processing.

Hybrid Tech Lead + BSA capability
Able to query, interpret, and translate data requirements
Comfortable bridging business and technical conversations
Deep understanding of:
Data orchestration (must-have)
API + batch integration models (must have both)
Data flows across upstream/downstream systems
Ability to:
Simplify complex processes
Ask the right questions across technical and business domains
Lead with hands-on credibility (not just oversight)
May guide/manage BSAs and ensure alignment across requirements

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years software development experience + 3+ years in a Tech Lead role
Strong experience with:
System integrations & data mapping
APIs (REST/SOAP), messaging, and batch processing
SQL and data-focused development
Proven experience delivering complex, multi-system banking projects
Understanding of:
SDLC (Agile + Waterfall)
Security frameworks (e.g., PKI, OAuth, encryption concepts)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
