Being good neighbors – helping people, investing in our communities, and making the world a better place – is who we are at State Farm. It is at the core of how we operate and the reason for our success. We're moving with urgency to become a Next Gen Good Neighbor, with technology that strengthens human connections and enhances the customer experience. As an employee, you'll spend less time navigating systems and more time applying judgment, empathy, and expertise in the moments that matter most.
Responsibilities:
Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the shared technical capabilities that make Digital Growth Engine solutions easier to build, integrate, govern, and scale - deciding what Tech Enablement builds and why. This role is part of the Digital Growth Engine, a multidisciplinary organization focused on building a stronger learning advantage through trusted data, disciplined experimentation, intelligent decisioning, and scalable technology.
Team Mission
The Tech Enablement team creates the technical foundation, reusable platforms, integration patterns, and delivery practices that move growth capabilities from concept to production reliably and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the Tech Enablement product strategy across shared data, API, model, agent, experimentation, integration, and developer capabilities.
- Maintain a prioritized roadmap and backlog based on user needs, enterprise architecture, reuse potential, technical debt, and measurable value.
- Partner with engineering and architecture to define platform requirements, service boundaries, nonfunctional requirements, and adoption patterns.
- Create clear product requirements and acceptance criteria for reusable components, environments, integrations, and operational tooling.
- Drive alignment across dependent product teams and enterprise platforms, resolving sequencing and ownership gaps.
- Measure platform adoption, developer experience, reliability, cycle time, reuse, and time-to-production.
- Lead launch, documentation, onboarding, and continuous improvement for shared technical products.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading technical products, platforms, or data/AI capabilities from discovery through production and adoption.
- Strong product management fundamentals, including vision, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, requirements, dependency management, and outcome measurement.
- Working knowledge of modern data, analytics, cloud, API, and AI/ML architectures sufficient to partner credibly with engineering and data science teams.
- Ability to translate customer and business needs into clear technical product requirements and make tradeoffs across value, feasibility, risk, and speed.
- Strong cross-functional communication and influence skills across business, product, design, engineering, data, privacy, security, and risk partners.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a large, regulated enterprise and navigating privacy, security, legal, risk, and governance requirements.
- Experience with digital customer journeys, insurance or financial services, growth analytics, personalization, experimentation, or marketing technology.
- Demonstrated success working in cross-functional product or pod-based operating models and moving work from insight to implementation.
- A bias toward measurable outcomes, reusable capabilities, clear documentation, and continuous learning.
How Success Will Be Measured
- Delivery and adoption of roadmap capabilities tied to clear user and business outcomes.
- Improved speed, reliability, and reuse across dependent teams and use cases.
- Clarity of prioritization, requirements, ownership, and cross-team execution.
Leadership & Ways of Working
- Put customer needs and measurable outcomes at the center of decisions.
- Work with confident humility: bring expertise, invite challenge, and adapt as evidence changes.
- Create clarity in ambiguity and make tradeoffs visible so teams can move with appropriate speed.
- Build strong partnerships across business and technology boundaries and share learning broadly.
- Operate with high standards for data stewardship, privacy, security, ethics, and enterprise risk management.
