Position Summary: The Cook prepares food which is nutritious and appetizing in accordance with requirements of the Food Production Manager. Responsible for preparing meals for patients on both regular and modified diets. Also, food items for the cafeteria. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all foods prepared and returned. Ensuring MD Dept of Health standards are followed, along with strict safety standards under Johns Hopkins expectations.

Experience: HS diploma, or equivalent, required Culinary training (graduate of a culinary or technical school) preferred 1 year related experience required Experience cooking in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred Or, experience cooking in an institutional setting

Hours/Other Information: Full-time (40 hrs per week) Evening Shift Weekend & holiday work required

Salary Range: Minimum 18.57/hour - Maximum 30.64/hour Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority
