## Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and highly skilled Technical Account Manager (TAM) to drive product adoption, provide proactive problem avoidance, and recommend leading practices for our most strategic public sector customers. In this role, you will help government and education clients accelerate digital transformations, secure cloud infrastructure, and scale cloud capabilities.
The ideal candidate acts as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between customer operations and internal engineering teams to ensure operational excellence and successful cloud implementations.
## Key Responsibilities
Architectural Advisory: Lead technical activities across multiple work streams with key stakeholders and delivery partners, focusing on cloud architectural advisory, operational excellence, and compliance.
Customer Advocacy: Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams as a customer advocate to influence new products, features, and bug fixes that benefit government and education customers.
Launch & Escalation Management: Partner with Support, Product Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to plan for major customer events and product launches while guiding critical issues to swift resolution.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Manage key stakeholder relationships as a trusted technical advisor by leading quarterly business reviews, hosting executive sessions, and developing tactical operational plans.
## Technical Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Experience: 4+ years of customer-facing experience managing cloud platform implementations or digital transformation programs (including launch/capacity planning, release management, technical support, escalation management, or consulting).
Technical Depth: 1+ year of hands-on experience with modern software development practices, microservices-based architectures, distributed systems, and APIs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Mobility: Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
Cloud Certification: Possession of (or the clear ability to obtain early in the role) at least one professional-level cloud platform certification.
