Venteon Finance is currently seeking a TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST for a growing non-automotive client in Southfield.
REQUIREMENTS of the Technical Accounting role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting
CPA Designation
3+ years of experience with GAAP / Technical Accounting
Big 4 public accounting firm experience
White Paper experience
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Technical Accounting role
Provides technical accounting support and guidance for complex business transactions
Works on special projects and evaluates the appropriate accounting treatment for various strategic initiatives and unique business situations
Researches, interprets, and documents all new accounting standards to determine the accounting and financial reporting impact to the company
Interacts with accounting consultants and external auditors on technical accounting matters
Supports the preparation and review of financial statement disclosures
Performs ad hoc analysis to support the monthly management reporting process; develops and enforces internal controls over financial reporting
Other duties and projects as assigned
