Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable Technical Architect to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems and Technology. This role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and mission-critical computer and information networks to support ISR operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity, and data communications to enhance the Coast Guard’s operational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and implement robust computer and information networks, including LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communication systems.
  • Conduct network modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability.
  • Develop and implement network and computer security measures in compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend network and data communications hardware and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with ISR systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and mission stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and security protocols.
  • Support the modernization and sustainment of ISR systems infrastructure in alignment with USCG strategic goals.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Experience with federal IT environments and compliance frameworks
  • Experience in supporting cloud technology and management activities for Intelligence Community (IC) and other government agencies. Experience must include supporting IT infrastructure operating in Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) IC cloud environments such as IC GovCloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) Commercial Cloud Service (C2S).
  • Shall have at least 3 years of Information Assurance A&A experience including assessment of information system vulnerabilities. Contractors performing this task must possess the following: DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher.
  • Must be a US citizen with a TOP SECRET/SCI level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting ISR or defense-related programs.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 annually.
