Description

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, provides assistance in general administrative and technical functions for the Building and Safety Division within the Community Development Department. This roles primary focus will be on support for the Building and Safety Division.

Examples of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide information and assistance to the public regarding Community Development and Building and Safety programs, projects, processes, and services through counter service, telephone, and email.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, providing accurate information and directing individuals to appropriate resources or City staff as needed.
• Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with City staff, applicants, contractors, and members of the public.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance.

• Completed coursework in areas of study such as Liberal Arts, Business, Public Affairs, Community Development is desirable.
