This role elicits, analyzes, validates, and documents business and system requirements; develops functional requirements, non-functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria; and supports solution delivery throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and technically fluent, with the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, software developers, quality assurance (QA) teams, and cross-functional departments in a fast-paced financial services environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
    • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of business objectives, system capabilities, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
    • Document institutional knowledge from siloed teams and convert it into centralized, reusable knowledge repositories, business process documentation, and system reference materials.
    • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, requirements workshops, process mapping sessions, gap analysis, and prioritization discussions.
    • Partner with product owners, developers, QA analysts, business users, and leadership throughout the SDLC to support solution design, development, testing, implementation, and post-release adoption.
    • Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirements traceability, change management, defect review, and release readiness activities.
    • Create and maintain business process models, current-state and future-state workflows, data mapping documentation, system diagrams, and operational procedures.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, data quality, compliance, and user experience.
    • Support system testing, user acceptance testing, test case review, issue triage, and validation of delivered solutions against documented requirements.
    • Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and requirements changes clearly to stakeholders and project teams.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role supporting technology projects.
    • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution requirements.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile and Scrum methodologies, business process analysis, requirements management, and user acceptance testing (UAT) practices.
    • Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify gaps, document workflows, and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio or similar process-mapping tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in automotive finance, consumer lending, financial services, loan servicing, compliance, or regulated business environments.
    • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), relational databases, data mapping, reporting tools, application programming interfaces (APIs), system integrations, or business intelligence platforms.
    • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, or other requirements management and collaboration tools.
    • Experience in creating centralized documentation, knowledge bases, standard operating procedures, training materials, or system support documentation.
    • Familiarity with credit, underwriting, collections, servicing, dealer operations, CRM systems, or financial technology platforms is a plus.
