Technical Business Analyst - Data & SQL

CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Business Analyst - Data & SQL position for our client. Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6 months Duties: Serve as a Technical Business Analyst supporting data-focused projects and initiatives. Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, and data professionals to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements. Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify issues, root causes, and potential solutions. Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents, Technical Design Documents, and Data Lineage Documents. Write and execute SQL queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across enterprise databases. Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases; MongoDB experience is a plus. Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions. Collaborate with Agile project teams throughout the development lifecycle, including requirements, refinement, testing, and implementation. Identify dependencies, risks, issues, and opportunities related to data and technical requirements. Ensure requirements and technical documentation are clear, complete, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines. Skills: Strong technical business analysis skills with the ability to interpret business requirements into detailed technical requirements. Strong SQL skills, including experience with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus. Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities. Excellent requirements documentation and technical writing skills. Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery practices. Experience: 4+ years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst. 4+ years of experience working on Agile projects. 2-4+ years of SQL experience, preferably with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus. 4+ years of experience in data analysis and troubleshooting. 4+ years of experience writing Business Requirements, Technical Design, and Data Lineage documentation. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions. Proven experience facilitating meetings and collaborating with diverse business and technical stakeholders. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
