Technology Solutions Consultant
Linney is a world-class, multichannel marketing services business. We are looking for a talented Technology Solutions Consultant to join our growing team, working with high-profile brands across a diverse mix of projects and opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements, identify practical technology solutions and explain technical subjects clearly to different audiences.
You do not need to be a software developer or specialist technical architect, but you will need a good understanding of modern technology and the confidence to work across digital platforms, integrations, data, security, automation and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Management and other customer-facing teams in improving technology adoption and identifying opportunities across existing customer relationships.
- Support tenders, re-tenders, proposals and pitches by defining technology requirements and producing clear, accurate responses to technical questions.
- Develop a strong understanding of Linney's technology capabilities, particularly MyCentre, and help customers and internal teams use them effectively.
- Support teams across the business in improving technology adoption and identifying opportunities across existing customer relationships.
- Participate in customer meetings, discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations and technology presentations.
- Gather and translate customer requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for Product and Development teams.
- Work with technology specialists to assess solutions and determine whether requirements can be met through existing functionality, configuration, integration or new development.
- Support customer questions relating to technology, integrations, hosting, data and information security, involving appropriate specialists where required.
- Produce customer-facing technology content, including tender responses, presentations and capability information.
- Capture recurring customer requirements and feedback to help inform product development and technology roadmap discussions.
- Identify opportunities involving integration, automation, data, AI and other emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the continued growth of Linney's customer-facing technology proposition.
Essential Skills
- Experience in a technology, solutions, business analysis, product, implementation or similar customer-facing role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical subjects clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience gathering and translating business requirements into practical solutions.
- Good practical understanding of digital technology, software products and web-based applications.
- Confidence working directly with customers and internal stakeholders, including presenting and facilitating discussions.
- Strong presentation and workshop skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of how technology can contribute to customer value and business growth.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects.
- A proactive approach and an interest in learning new technologies.
Technical Knowledge
- Good understanding of web applications, SaaS platforms and digital technologies.
- Working knowledge of system integration, APIs and REST-based services.
- General understanding of data, databases and reporting.
- Working awareness of identity, authentication, access control, cloud technologies and information security.
- Understanding of software development approaches and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting tenders, RFPs, proposals or technical pre-sales activities.
- Experience with customer-facing digital platforms, ecommerce or marketing technology.
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, workflow automation or similar technologies.
- An understanding of AI and its practical application within business processes.
- Experience working with software development or product teams.
- Business analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA would be advantageous but are not essential.
