Technical Business Systems Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite + In-person interview)


Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong data expertise to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data analysis, ETL processes, and data warehousing, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data-driven initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Work closely with data engineers and developers on data integration and ETL processes using Informatica.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support projects involving data warehouses, data marts, and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Perform data mapping, data lineage analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate data outputs against business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Assist in creating documentation including BRDs, FRDs, and data dictionaries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables).
  • Experience working on Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
