Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst to support a global financial services client environment. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology and will support data-driven decision-making, critical data platforms, and technology change initiatives.

The role is heavily focused on BAU data provisioning, data onboarding, production support, issue investigation, and resolution. The successful candidate will work within an Agile delivery environment and partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, technology, Front Office, Risk, and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial services/capital markets domain knowledge, advanced SQL skills, data analysis experience, and strong business/technical communication skills.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.

Strong experience in Financial Services / Capital Markets.

Hands-on experience supporting investment, trading, risk, operations, or regulatory reporting data platforms.

Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing, review, optimization, debugging, and data validation.

Experience with relational databases and enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server.

Strong understanding of data mapping, transformations, enrichment, reconciliation, and data quality.

Experience handling BAU and production-critical data issues.

Strong Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and understand existing SQL, Python, or Java code to validate business logic.

Experience working with investment or portfolio management platforms.

Strong Agile/Scrum experience, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
