Who You Are:
The Public Safety Technical Consultant - Data Migration is a full-time, individual contributor on Oracle's Public Safety implementation team. This is a hands-on, SQL-focused technical position that partners with law enforcement and public safety agencies to extract, analyze, transform, validate, and migrate historical data into Oracle Public Safety software. Key responsibilities include investigating source-system data structures, identifying relationships and data-quality issues, and using SQL and related migration tools to build, test, and refine repeatable migration logic tailored to each agency's data. Other responsibilities include working directly with agency stakeholders to translate migration requirements and operational needs into reliable, repeatable technical solutions, and collaborating with implementation, product, and agency stakeholders to support successful go-lives. Candidates for this role should be excited about pushing the boundaries and adopting new technologies and tools to accomplish successful customer outcomes. This role requires the ability to adapt quickly, a drive for results, and a "never satisfied" mentality. You will be an early team member of this fast-growing and exciting line of business at Oracle.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle''s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, data migration, database development, or related technical discipline.
Proven ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
Skill in analyzing source-system data structures, relationships, and data-quality issues.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with relational databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server, and data formats, such as CSV, XML, and JSON.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work directly with agency stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with agencies, project teams, and technical stakeholders.
Proactive relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
