Expected pay for this position is $45.21 - $53.19/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Technical Coordinator/Echo Educator provides appropriate education to Adult Echocardiology staff, which includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating orientation and continuing education programs in an effort to enhance the quality of patient care services. Ensures such programs are based on the principle of delivering care appropriate to the ages of the patients served in the department. Assists in assessing patient care activities and personnel in order to ensure high quality patient care.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree

 

Licenses/Certifications:

-RDCS-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography ​Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and certification in adult patient population

 

Experience:

- 2 years of progressively responsible experience with six months concurrent experience in appropriate clinical area in order to develop proficiencies in delivering high quality patient care services, develop an understand of work flow of the unit, and to demonstrate proven leadership skills required by the position.

 

Other skills/knowledge:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Licenses/Certifications:

-Advanced Cardiac Sonographer certification

 

Other skills/knowledge:

-​​Requires an understanding of Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)​ IAC expectations to ensure department certification
