Job Description

IDR is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting a long-term, high-visibility data modernization initiative within the financial services industry, collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders to enhance data processes, documentation, and systems.

Position Overview for the Technical Data Analyst:
Support a data modernization effort by analyzing and documenting current data systems and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and define target data architectures.
Perform detailed data profiling, execute data reconciliation, and develop source-to-target mappings.
Document data lineage, metadata, and business rules to ensure clarity and consistency across systems.
Operate independently in a highly visible environment, building credibility with stakeholders and managing long-term responsibilities.

Requirements for the Technical Data Analyst:
67+ years of experience within data analysis, data management, data stewardship, or a closely related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with data profiling.
Strong understanding of metadata management and documentation.
Experience developing and analyzing data lineage.
Experience creating source-to-target mappings.
