Technical Designer

As the only brand to earn a spot on "Oprah's Favorite Things" for seven years in a row across five different categories, we pride ourselves on exceptional quality and innovation.We're excited to expand our team with a Technical Designer who will play a pivotal role in executing our technical design process for apparel, sleep, and loungewear lines - turning design intent into production-ready product.Responsibilities:Own the technical design process end-to-end - manage product specs alongside the Product team and review proto and fit samples for workmanship, construction, fit, and production feasibilityBuild new product specifications and blocks, including measurements and detailed technical sketchesPartner closely with the Product team to define and refine processes and proceduresCollaborate with Design in the early stages of tech pack development to ensure the BOM, specs, and construction details are accurately capturedCreate technical specifications and maintain tech packs from first proto through bulk productionWork proactively with the Product team to identify construction techniques that keep quality on par with the original design intentEngineer product to meet predetermined costs and gross margin targetsPartner with the Product team to approve proto samples and confirm production readinessMaintain accurate, organized records of all technical design specificationsCommunicate feedback and fit comments with suppliers, including corrections to factory patternsSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Design, Technical Design, Patternmaking, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of pattern construction, manufacturing processes, and the product development lifecycleFamiliarity with sustainable knit and woven fabrications and performance technologies preferredAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (sketching), PLM software, and MS Office (Excel)Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentExperience with CLO 3-D software is a plusWhy Join Cozy Earth?Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you healthy.Future Planning: 401K plan to secure your financial future.Work-Life Balance: Flexible PTO to ensure you have the time you need for rest and relaxation.Wellness Perks: Monthly self-care benefit to support your overall well-being.Exclusive Discounts: Access generous discounts on all our products. Cozy Earth is an equal-opportunity employer.
