Position Summary
We are seeking a Technical DevOps Manager to lead cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering initiatives while serving as a hands on technical leader for a growing DevOps function. This role combines people leadership with deep technical expertise across AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD delivery.
The ideal candidate will guide a team of DevOps engineers while remaining actively involved in architecture, troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational strategy. You will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, security, availability, and performance of customer facing and internal platforms while driving best practices across cloud operations and software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers while fostering technical growth and operational excellence
Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
Manage and optimize Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, to support containerized applications and services
Partner with development and QA teams to build and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines that support reliable and efficient software deployments
Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM governance, encryption standards, network security, and container security controls
Monitor platform health and performance using observability tools such as Datadog, proactively identifying and resolving issues
Develop and execute patch management strategies across AWS environments, Kubernetes workloads, and Linux systems
Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and strategic recommendations across infrastructure and application environments
Key Requirements
5+ years of experience providing technical leadership within DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering teams
Extensive hands on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, ELB, and related cloud technologies
Strong expertise with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
Production level experience managing Kubernetes environments, preferably Amazon EKS
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar platforms
Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, cloud connectivity, load balancing, CDN technologies, and infrastructure security
Proficiency with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages
Experience implementing container security best practices, Helm, patch management processes, and system observability solutions
Strong troubleshooting, communication, team leadership, and mentoring skills with the ability to guide engineers and collaborate across technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer
Kubernetes certifications including CKA or CKS
Experience supporting large scale, customer facing production environments
Exposure to CDN technologies such as CloudFront, Akamai, or similar content delivery platforms
