Position Summary

The Killeen office has an opening for technical editor intern starting in the Summer Semester 2026. This is a part-time position (10-29 hours per week). The work will be performed in the Trideum office on the TAMUCT campus, Warrior Hall, Room 308. The person in this role will work with researchers, system engineers, software designers, software developers, software testers, and quality assurance to bring standardization to a suite of technical documents. In addition, there will be opportunities to do research and evaluation of existing software tools to help determine the value added for our customer, US Army Operational Evaluation Command (OEC) located on Fort Hood.

Background

Applicant should have an educational background with a science, mathematics, engineering, or IT emphasis with strong writing and communication skills.

Project Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with corporate quality managers to apply standards and templates.
  • Use these standards to develop Word, Excel, and PowerPoint templates.
  • Update existing documents to use these templates.
  • Develop new documents, as needed, using templates.
  • Apply common writing standards to all documents.
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products for their value added.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Must be a US citizen.
