Position Title: Technical Editor

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Contract Technical Editor opportunity located in Kirkland, WA

Job Responsibilities:
  • Integrate specification document errata
  • Edit content drafted by SME contributors in support of new wireless technology features
  • Ensure standardization of our client's specifications and other SIG content via Drafting Guidelines
  • Work on editorial and CCMS-based projects

Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience editing technical content for a technical audience
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with subject matter experts
  • Experience producing content in Microsoft Word and XML-based CCMS
  • Experience with Paligo and Fluid Topics preferred
  • Familiarity with Atlassian suite, specifically Jira
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, or equivalent experience
