Technical Expert / Functional Expert – Network Engineering

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise data center networks and high-performance computing (HPC) storage fabrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and security devices.

• Support enterprise and data center network architecture, security boundaries, and IPsec VPNs.

• Support Cisco, Juniper, and Arista networking technologies.

• Configure and troubleshoot HPC storage fabrics, including InfiniBand, Fibre Channel SANs, and TCP/IP storage networks.

• Administer and troubleshoot Lustre file systems and DDN ExaScaler appliances.

• Perform packet analysis and performance benchmarking using tools such as IOR, iperf, FIO, and lnet_selftest.

• Develop network architecture diagrams and technical documentation.

• Learn and support emerging HPC technologies, including E1000 systems, ESNs, DAOS, and Weka.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 15 years without a degree, in network engineering, architecture, monitoring, and security.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.

• Expert-level experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and network security technologies.

• Strong TCP/IP networking, data center architecture, and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with InfiniBand, Fibre Channel SANs, Lustre, and DDN ExaScaler.

• Familiarity with packet capture tools and network performance benchmarking.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
