Description Amazon's Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is a new kind of internet, built to reach more places and make connecting simple for everyone. Using innovative satellite and antenna technology, Amazon LEO delivers fast, reliable connections to more people and organizations. It's engineered for high performance and backed by Amazon with all the convenience, value, and customer experience you'd expect. To support Amazon LEO, the Ground Infrastructure Services Physical Security team is seeking a Physical Security Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive the deployment of physical security systems across Amazon LEO's expanding ground terminal network. This role focuses on pioneering new technologies and continuously improving deployment models for ground terminal launches, with emphasis on infrastructure systems and physical security components. As TIPM, you will bridge the LEO Security, Networking, and Engineering teams with Ground Infrastructure Services, ensuring seamless integration of physical security solutions. You'll collaborate with Infrastructure Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance site safety, security, and operational efficiency, directly impacting the security posture and operational excellence of our global ground infrastructure. Key job responsibilities * Security Deployment & Launch: Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for deploying physical security technologies and process automation across LEO ground infrastructure. * Global Deployment Strategy: Define and drive the global strategy for physical security systems, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, repeatable deployment models across diverse geographies and regulatory environments. * Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Influence and align Security, Engineering, Operations, and external vendors to deliver integrated security solutions; negotiate priorities, resolve competing requirements, and drive accountability across organizations. * Metrics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish program metrics that quantify effectiveness and operational efficiency; leverage data to drive prioritization, trade-off decisions, and reporting. * Program Management: Manage complex, cross-functional programs with interdependencies across multiple teams and geographies; proactively identify and mitigate risks, unblock teams, and escalate effectively to maintain delivery speed. * Technical Design Evaluation: Evaluate physical security system designs for deployment; identify technical design gaps and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and automation readiness. * Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives that streamline deployment workflows, eliminate redundant steps, and create predictable, repeatable process. * Standard Operating Procedures: Document and standardize processes for vendor sourcing, system integration, and hardware configuration, creating scalable playbooks. About the team Join a team at the forefront of space-based communications infrastructure, where your work directly enables Amazon's ambitious satellite initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to solve unprecedented security challenges at global scale while working with technology and world-class talent. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field - Technical designs, scoping, scheduling, budgeting, quality, risk management, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication. - Experience in large-scale IT and networking deployment, including integration of physical security systems with network infrastructure. - Experience defining program strategy, roadmaps, and contributing to organizational planning. - Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority. - Experience establishing program metrics and using data to drive prioritization and executive-level decision making. - Demonstrated experience driving process improvement initiatives that reduced deployment cycle time or improved operational efficiency. - Travel 25% or more. About the Company

A

Amazon

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
