Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Technical Inside Sales Specialist for an innovative manufacturer serving the aerospace industry. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity located in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Specialist to serve as a key resource for customers and the outside sales team, providing technical product support, preparing quotations, managing customer relationships, and ensuring a seamless sales process from inquiry through order fulfillment. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative technical products in a collaborative manufacturing environment while building expertise in a growing industry. The ideal candidate enjoys solving customer challenges, learning complex products, and supporting a fast-paced sales organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, technical product questions, and quotation requests.
  • Generate quotations, qualify inbound leads, maintain CRM records, and support sales pipeline management.
  • Partner with outside sales representatives by preparing proposals, coordinating product demonstrations, and providing ongoing sales support.
  • Coordinate order processing and collaborate with operations, finance, customer service, and engineering to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, customer communications, and customer-facing materials.
  • Provide technical product support while escalating complex inquiries when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, technical support, or sales support within a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn complex products and solutions.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
