Job Description:

POSITION: FULL TIME PROGRAM DIRECTOR / FACULTY – RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY

PRIMARY LOCATION: Newton Campus

ESSENTIAL JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Dean of Allied Health and Division Chair of Allied Health the Program Chair provides academic, administrative, and instructional leadership for the Radiologic Technology Program. Responsibilities include program administration, faculty supervision, curriculum development, accreditation compliance, student success initiatives, clinical education coordination, budgeting, and maintaining partnerships with healthcare organizations to ensure a high-quality educational program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Radiologic Technology, Health Sciences, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field. · Current certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. · Current unrestricted Georgia Radiologic Technologist license, if applicable. · Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in diagnostic radiography. · Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. · Demonstrated knowledge of JRCERT accreditation standards and assessment practices. · Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills. · Ability to supervise faculty and manage multiple priorities. · All applicants must complete an online application and upload all required pre-employment documents (resume, unofficial transcripts, cover letter). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Doctoral degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or a related discipline. · Previous experience serving as a Program Director or Program Chair. · Experience leading JRCERT accreditation self-studies and site visits. · Experience with curriculum design, student learning outcomes assessment, and program review. · Experience managing budgets and capital equipment purchases. · Experience developing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements. · Demonstrated success improving student retention, graduation, credentialing examination pass rates, and employment outcomes. · Strong knowledge of instructional technologies and learning management systems. · Experience supervising faculty and mentoring new instructors.

SALARY/BENEFITS: The salary for this will be based upon education, experience and other qualifications. This is a full-time position with paid state holidays, accrued annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Health Flexible Benefits Program.
