Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our Real Estate Capital Originations Technology team supporting KeyBank's Commercial Real Estate lending business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in .NET/C#, REST API design, SQL, enterprise integrations, CI/CD, cloud/SaaS architectures and a proven ability to lead solution architecture, guide engineering teams, and deliver secure, scalable platforms that improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for REC Originations applications and integrations.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for CRE lending processes.
- Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to reduce technical debt and enhance efficiency.
- Drive modernization and transformation initiatives across SaaS and cloud platforms.
- Lead development, enhancement, implementation, and support within the REC ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product owners and stakeholders.
- Review and approve designs, code, deployment plans, and implementation strategies.
- Establish coding standards, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and security requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.
- Serve as SME for Moody's CreditLens and supporting REC applications.
- Support integrations with internal lending, workflow, document, and data platforms.
- Enable deal intake, underwriting, spreading, approvals, covenant tracking, and portfolio management solutions.
- Mentor developers and foster continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Conduct code reviews and guide project teams through complex technical issues.
- Establish performance, availability, resiliency, and monitoring standards.
- Promote Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in application development, systems integration, or software engineering.
- 3+ years in technical leadership of teams or large-scale initiatives.
- Enterprise application design and support in complex environments.
- .NET/C#, REST APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
- SQL and relational databases, integrations, and middleware technologies.
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Git, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar.
- Cloud and SaaS application architectures.
- Strong SDLC knowledge and Agile methodologies.
- Effective problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Commercial lending or Commercial Real Estate lending technology experience.
- Experience with Moody's CreditLens or similar commercial credit platforms.
- Knowledge of CRE origination, underwriting, credit approval, and portfolio management.
- Integrating third-party SaaS platforms with enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise data integration, cloud platforms, and modern API architectures.
- Experience with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements in financial services.
- Architecture or advanced technical certifications.
