What we re looking for:
Looking for a highly motivated Technician, Manual Machine Shop.
What you ll be doing;- Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in liaison with the facility planners.
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
- Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mill, grinder etc..) and position or load material for a job.
- Select tools and cutting conditions. Generate and maintain programs.
- Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications. Request confirmation from QC.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages or solicit intervention from the maintenance department.
- Operate the machines safely
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) Highlight Top 3-5 skills- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department. Or Preferred Experience as described below.
- Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
- Must have the knowledge of and be able to use all measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components
Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:- Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
- Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs
