Technical Onboarding Engineer (Post-Sales)

Commission: Base of $60k-$110k + 1% on net new sales + bonus

Position Overview

The Technical Onboarding Engineer (Post-Sales) owns the customer journey immediately after a sale closes. This role ensures clients are configured, optimized, and confident using our clients full suite of tools. The engineer will deliver guided implementations, conduct technical audits, and serve as a trusted technical partner throughout the early lifecycle of the customer relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding sessions and configure solutions based on customer requirements.

  • Provide technical support and guidance during implementation and deployment.

  • Conduct security audits and configuration reviews to ensure best practices.

  • Identify optimization opportunities to improve customer success and retention.

  • Serve as the liaison between clients and Product and Support teams.

  • Document implementation steps, configurations, and user training progress.

  • Create and deliver customer training webinars and educational materials.

  • Monitor client environments to identify issues proactively and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience, preferably in technical support, onboarding, or implementation engineering.

  • Strong understanding of system security measures and endpoint protection principles.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Customer-centric mindset with attention to technical detail and documentation quality.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based or hybrid with possible travel for key client implementations or internal training events.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs; standard office ergonomics apply.
