JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as defined by Viant policies, practices & procedures to insure that FDA & ISO regulations & quality standards are met
Assembles components
May be required to operate packaging machine
Performs Bar sealing/Tray sealing duties
Performs pad printing duties
Assembles & inspects components with tight tolerances, complex & miniature geometry
Operates Laser and resistance welding equipment
Inspects & assembles components under magnification
Uses advanced dexterity required to work with very/small miniature components & equipment
Performs equipment intensive assembly processes, makes adjustments if required & authorized by procedures
Retains complex assembly process instructions once taught, does not require frequent retraining
Follows all safety procedures as required by internal & external guidelines and policies
Maintain & follow 5s principles in all work areas at all times
Participate in rapid movement events
Performs other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Education:
High School diploma & equivalent certification preferred
Job Experience:
One year external manufacturing work experience
Skills/Competencies:
Ability to read, understand & follow specification sheets
Basic mathematical skills to understand tolerances & variation
Ability to use measuring devices & hand tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic understanding of hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
Detail oriented, self-motivated & organized
Ability to clearly communicate any concerns or issues back to support staff verbally & written
Strong communication any concerns or issues back to support staff verbally & written
Strong communication skills with Production Supervisor
Display a positive attitude
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending/ lifting, twisting, standing & significant use of hands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Excellent vision & hand-eye coordination
