Job Description: The client is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support hospital IT infrastructure and technology initiatives across multiple healthcare facilities. This role will coordinate vendors, infrastructure teams, and application stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of hospital technology projects.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage technical projects across hospital environments including infrastructure and clinical systems
Coordinate with telecom, networking, and application teams on technology implementations
Work with hospital stakeholders to determine technology needs for clinical spaces
Assist with planning and mapping technology requirements for Epic environments
Review construction drawings and blueprints to determine technology placement and infrastructure requirements
Oversee vendors and contractors working on hospital technology projects
Track project timelines, risks, and deliverables while communicating updates to leadership
Facilitate collaboration between clinical teams, IT departments, and external vendors
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
Experience working as a Project Manager within a hospital or health system environment
Exposure to healthcare IT systems, workflows, or infrastructure projects
Experience coordinating technical teams, vendors, or contractors
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and clinical stakeholders
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and clarify requirements
Nice-to-Haves:
Exposure to Epic EHR environments or Epic implementation projects
Familiarity with hospital infrastructure technologies (networking, telecom, cabling)
Ability to read or interpret construction blueprints or facility drawings
Experience working on healthcare construction or facility technology deployments
Understanding of healthcare workflows such as inpatient units, ED, ICU, etc.
