Job Description
General Overview
Under general direction; operates advanced standard and color printing system equipment applying computer assist and control software; trouble shoots and resolves operating problems; performs basic maintenance; maintains necessary levels of printing supplies; performs other graphic printing and design jobs. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below.
Completion of a high school equivalent education plus advanced technical training and experience of one (1) or more years using a personal computer with a focus on Microsoft Office and Adobe applications, plus one (1) or more years of proven experience in electronic imaging production machinery and in the operation of standard office and duplicating equipment. Must possess a valid State of Ohio vehicle operator's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe program applications; assembling of electronic images into documents; cataloging and retrieving documents; office practices and procedures. Basic knowledge of support equipment used in an electronic duplicating/printing environment; SunOS & UNIX commands; routine equipment maintenance tasks. Ability to operate and run high technical printing systems; operate a personal computer and scanner; run processes using specialty programs [DOC Tech]; troubleshoot system problems and resolve; perform basic maintenance and equipment support functions; carry out detailed instructions; read, copy and record data accurately; communicate effectively; maintain accurate records and prepare reports; develop and maintain good rapport with coworkers and officials; transfer files between various forms of computer storage media; calculate fractions, decimals and percentages. Skilled in operation of a PIC and computer keyboard; operating electronic equipment used in graphic design and printing. (Indicates developed after employment).
Job Duties
The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification.
Scans documents using electronic imaging equipment and software; assembles electronic images into documents using personal computer and designated software programs; catalogues and saves documents into computer memory; secures equipment and document files daily (e.g., locks, initiates protection codes, turns off power, etc.). Operates high tech printer; performs color server imaging and job process functions; solves system problems; performs basic maintenance tasks; maintains records and assembles and reports; suggests processes and procedures for approval; coordinates, aids in design and production of technical graphic data projects with staff; attends development production meetings to advise and discuss technical problems, if any; attends advanced training to increase skill levels and maintain awareness of new equipment technology. Performs Office Machine Operator's duties necessary or as required (e.g., pick up/deliver mail, supplies; sort mail; perform postage process; operates other office service machines, etc.).

Work is performed in an office environment and employee will regularly be exposed to normal hazards associated with an office environment. Employee will be working with office chemicals such as inks and other materials.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to travel to and access the various assigned work sites, other offices and agencies.
Job is physically comfortable. Typically requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, keying, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
