We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Product Coordinator to own the health of our team's Jira backlog, drive execution planning across our product improvement initiatives, and serve as a key liaison between engineering, leadership, and customers. This role blends backlog management discipline with strategic planning and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Backlog & Jira Management

  • Own and maintain the team's Jira backlog, ensuring items are properly written, prioritized, labeled, and groomed.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and product stakeholders.
  • Ensure epics, stories, and tasks are appropriately scoped, sequenced, and linked to broader initiatives.
  • Monitor sprint/cycle health, flag blockers, and maintain accurate status reporting, including burndown, velocity, and throughput.
  • Establish and enforce consistent ticket hygiene standards, including naming conventions, acceptance criteria, and definition of done.
  • Jira Administration & Optimization

  • Build and manage Jira automation rules to reduce manual work, such as auto-assignment, status transitions, notifications, and SLA escalations.
  • Design and maintain Jira dashboards providing real-time visibility into sprint health, velocity, burndown/burnup, and cumulative flow.
  • Build and manage timelines and roadmaps using Jira Timeline, Advanced Roadmaps, or Structure to visualize cross-team dependencies and delivery milestones.
  • Use JQL (Jira Query Language) to create custom filters, saved searches, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Maintain data integrity and consistent ticket hygiene, including labeling, components, versions, and priorities, across projects.
  • Execution Planning

  • Partner with engineering leads and product owners to build and maintain roadmaps for product improvements.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable, sequenced execution plans with clear milestones and owners.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and resourcing gaps across concurrent workstreams.
  • Track progress against plans and proactively surface schedule risks to leadership.
  • Run regular planning cadences, including sprint planning, quarterly roadmap reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding product updates, timelines, and issue status.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback into actionable backlog items.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations.
  • Support customer-facing meetings, demos, and check-ins as needed.
  • Communications

  • Draft and distribute regular status updates, release notes, and roadmap communications to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Create clear, concise materials—including decks, dashboards, and written summaries—that translate technical work into business-relevant language.
  • Coordinate cross-team communication to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
