Description & Requirements

The Bloomberg CTO Office is the future-looking technical arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design, and guide the creation of our next generation infrastructure, platforms, frameworks, and applications that interface across all aspects of the company. We are passionate about what we do.

ASKB is the AI-driven conversational interface that sits at the center of our vision for the future of the Bloomberg Terminal experience. ASKB brings agentic AI directly into the Bloomberg Terminal through a coordinated network of AI agents working in parallel. These agents dynamically access Bloomberg's data, news, research, and analytics to deliver rich, contextual answers to complex questions about markets, companies, and investment ideas.

This role will be responsible for shaping how Bloomberg product teams integrate their capabilities into ASKB at scale. The ASKB Application Framework will provide the "paved paths" - standards, tooling, documentation, and reusable integration patterns - that allow distributed product and engineering teams to expose high-value intelligence, actions, and user experiences through Bloomberg's conversational AI interface.

What's in it for you

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to define and execute the vision and roadmap for the ASKB Application Framework. As a product manager, you will focus on the end-to-end experience of the internal product teams, engineers, and subject matter experts who need to make their capabilities available through ASKB.

You will help Bloomberg scale product development of this flagship product surface by reducing the bespoke work required for distributed product teams to integrate with ASKB. In close partnership with your peers across AI and Application platform teams, you will make decisions about integration mechanisms, developer workflows, capability onboarding, documentation, and tooling that help teams move from experimentation to production-quality ASKB experiences.

You will partner closely with Product and Engineering teams across the company to collect requirements and define the integration mechanisms necessary for highly efficient, scaled product delivery. This is a high-leverage role in a widely cross-functional environment, so you'll need to balance technical depth, product judgment, stakeholder influence, and a strong understanding of how financial professionals use Bloomberg to get work done.

We'll trust you to

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for the ASKB Application Framework, partnering closely with neighboring ASKB application, AI infrastructure, and application platform product teams to define the ASKB-specific paved paths, processes, and tooling that help distributed teams integrate product capabilities into ASKB

  • Partner with teams across the organization to identify recurring integration needs and turn them into reusable framework capabilities rather than one-off implementations

  • Drive adoption of ASKB integration standards across product teams by creating clear learning paths, documentation, examples, product governance mechanisms, and success measures

  • Balance competing needs across investments in new integration mechanisms, product governance processes, and product development workflow tooling

You'll need to have

  • 7+ years of experience in technical product management, platform product management, AI product development, developer platforms, or application frameworks

  • Experience working on platforms, frameworks, APIs, SDKs, developer tooling, workflow systems, or shared infrastructure used by many product or engineering teams

  • Experience with GenAI products, conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, generative UI or AI-assisted application experiences

  • A proven track record of creating product visions and roadmaps, evaluating technical and user-experience trade-offs, prioritizing across many stakeholders, and delivering platform capabilities at scale

  • Strong understanding of modern application development practices, including API design, structured data, system integration, observability, documentation, release practices, and production support

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, product, UX, data, subject matter experts, and senior leadership

We'd love to see

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field of study, or equivalent work experience

  • Familiarity with interoperability standards and emerging agentic AI protocols such as MCP, A2A, A2UI, etc.

  • Experience building paved paths, integration frameworks, developer portals, documentation / learning resources, and/or self-service tooling for distributed product teams

  • Experience defining platform success metrics, including adoption, integration quality, developer satisfaction, time-to-production, reliability, usage, task completion, and measurable product impact

Salary Range = 140,000 - 295,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
