Job Description: The Technical Product Owner will support connected-vehicle and dealer-digital products that help fleets, dealers and service teams monitor vehicle health, identify service opportunities and improve operational workflows. The role will work across products, UX, vehicle data, system integration and engineering to convert customer and dealer needs into scalable digital capabilities across connected services, dealer applications and related service experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Translate connected services and dealer-digital strategy into product roadmaps, epics, features and user stories.
Own and prioritize the backlog based on customer value, dealer impact, operational benefit and technical feasibility.
Understand fleet, dealer and Service Advisor workflows and identify opportunities to reduce friction and manual effort.
Define digital experiences involving vehicle health, diagnostics, maintenance, service recommendations and proactive service leads.
Partner with UX and engineering to determine how insights, alerts and recommended actions are presented within user workflows.
Collaborate with telematics, data, integration, architecture and business teams to define data and system requirements.
Define requirements for APIs and integrations involving vehicle, VIN, dealer, service, parts and customer data.
Support AI- or analytics-enabled capabilities that turn connected-vehicle data into actionable recommendations.
Define MVPs, pilots, success metrics and adoption plans.
Prepare clear user stories and acceptance criteria covering workflows, data quality, exceptions and user experience.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, product reviews and stakeholder alignment.
Track product usage, adoption, workflow completion and business outcomes following release.
Required Experience
Five or more years in Product Ownership, Product Management, Technical Program Management or a comparable product-delivery role.
Strong understanding of Agile product delivery, user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog prioritization.
Experience working with APIs, cloud platforms, system integrations and data-dependent products.
Ability to understand complex operational workflows and translate them into intuitive digital experiences.
Strong collaboration skills across business, UX, engineering, architecture and data teams.
Preferred Experience
Commercial vehicles, automotive, telematics, fleet-management, dealer or aftermarket experience.
Understanding connected-vehicle data, diagnostics, predictive maintenance, OTA capabilities or service workflows.
Experience with dealer systems, service applications or DMS platforms.
Experience delivering AI/ML-enabled insights or recommendations into production workflows.
Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or a similar enterprise data and AI platform.
Understanding of human-in-the-loop workflows, AI transparency and recommendation explainability.
Experience with MyInternational, OnCommand Connection or a comparable fleet/dealer digital platform.
