Transcarent is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the development of the enterprise-wide data and AI platform.
In this role you'll shape the data and AI platform into the connective tissue that ties together the many data teams and lines of business across Transcarent. That means transforming today's line-of-business-specific data marts and pipelines into cross-cutting, reusable data layers and products that any line of business can build on, while standing up the platform and self-service capabilities that let other teams own more of their own data. You'll work closely with data, engineering, product, compliance, and go-to-market leadership to shape platform strategy, effective processes, and the path to execution for complex, cross-cutting initiatives - much of which must be driven through prioritization rather than incremental budget or headcount.
Your first challenge is to change how the team spends its time. Today, much of its capacity is absorbed by maintenance and reactive, ad-hoc requests; your job is to establish the prioritization, intake, and roadmapping practices that create space for the strategic platform work to actually happen. You'll find creative opportunities to align business and technical priorities so both can evolve together, protect the team's focus from noise, and build the stakeholder relationships that make hard tradeoffs possible.
What You'll Do
Drive delivery with rigor.Structure the program into workstreams with clear owners, milestones, and exit criteria. Own the cross-team dependency map and critical path. Anticipate risks before they become escalations, surface tradeoffs early, and keep timelines honest as capacity, client commitments, and priorities shift. Manage release readiness across teams - dates, approvals, documentation, and communication - in a HIPAA-regulated environment where quality and compliance are non-negotiable.
Own prioritization and intake. Stand at the front line of prioritization. Build and run a lightweight intake and triage process - clear priority levels, agreed SLAs, and a defined escalation path - so the team can focus instead of fielding every request as an emergency. Make tradeoffs visible through roadmaps and dashboards, drive the planning process, and keep the team pointed at the priorities that advance the platform rather than only keeping the lights on.
Orchestrate across the data organization. Align priorities and roadmaps across the platform, data engineering, and analytics teams as well as the reporting teams that serve care, customer success, and eligibility and claims. Figure out where each team's work fits, resolve cross-team dependencies, and drive the shift toward self-service so teams can independently own more of their own data - including supporting business changes like migrations, product re-platforming, and line-of-business divestitures, where data products must be rebuilt without breaking enterprise reporting.
Lead at the executive level. Own program-level communication to senior leadership: status, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions needed. Build trusted relationships with VPs and C-level stakeholders across engineering, product, clinical, and business functions. Frame decisions so leaders can make them quickly - and drive them to closure when they stall. Represent the program with clients and partners when integration work touches their implementations.
Operate with real technical depth and product perspective. Partner with engineering leads and architects on the data and AI platform - the Databricks lakehouse, cloud data warehousing and ELT pipelines, data migrations and consolidation, data contracts and master data, delta sharing, and identity, eligibility, and claims unification. Get in the weeds of the real decisions: which datasets already exist and which don't, whether work can proceed ahead of a migration, and how to stack-rank competing asks once dependencies are understood - pulling that clarity out of engineers quickly, even when the answers aren't neatly packaged. Pressure-test technical plans, spot hidden dependencies and sequencing risks, translate fluently between deep technical detail and executive narrative, and identify gaps in scope across dispersed teams and domain ownership.
Work AI-natively. Use AI tools and agentic workflows as a core part of how you operate - program tracking, documentation, analysis, and communication - and help raise the bar for how the broader organization uses them. Bring genuine curiosity about how AI changes program management itself, not just the products we build.
See beyond delivery into operational excellence and continued quality and scalability into the future.
