JOB TITLE: Technical Program Manager - Body & Closures
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $80 - $90/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months
TOP 3 SKILLS:
2 4 years in project management, TPM, manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, with exposure to physical product development lifecycles (Design, Sourcing, Validation, Build) ideally in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or consumer electronics.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or MS Project, and strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams.
Familiarity with automotive body systems (latches, hinges, actuators) or manufacturing processes, and basic familiarity with 3D CAD or PLM systems (such as 3DEXPERIENCE).
Job Description:
As a TPM for the Body & Closures team, you'll play a critical role in keeping engineering and hardware development efforts organized and on track partnering with mechanical engineers and external vendors to manage schedules, coordinate hardware builds, and clear technical roadblocks.
Key Responsibilities:
Timeline & Schedule Management: Build, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules for mechanisms, sealing, and structural integration.
Supplier Coordination: Act as the programmatic interface with external suppliers; track hardware build plans and coordinate part deliveries.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: Maintain bug/issue trackers (e.g., Jira), follow up on RCA progress, and facilitate meetings to drive hardware issues to closure.
Cross-Functional Support: Facilitate communication between Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Validation teams; track BOM maturity.
CAD & Packaging Design: Demonstrated ability to conduct packaging investigations or manage clash analysis utilizing tools such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks.
PLM & Release Management: Proficiency in managing the release of technical datasets and manufacturing drawings through formal PLM workflows.
Qualifications:
2 4 years in project management, TPM, manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
Exposure to physical product development lifecycles (Design, Sourcing, Validation, Build) ideally in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or consumer electronics.
Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams.

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
