Job Summary:
Technical Program Manager (TPM) within Guest & Host Technology / Core Host Engineering organization. The TPM will drive execution across
Cancellations, Reservations, and Services programs, partnering with Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science teams. The role focuses on program delivery, cross-functional coordination, dependency management, risk mitigation, release planning, and communicating technical progress to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Own program execution for Cancellations, Reservations, and Services initiatives across Web, iOS, and Android.
- Track milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables to ensure programs stay on track.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Product Managers, Design, and Data Science teams to align roadmaps and sequence work.
- Drive delivery of cancellation policy systems, reservation management flows, host/guest service tooling, and related trust/support infrastructure.
- Lead regular program cadences including standups, cross-functional meetings, and stakeholder updates.
- Identify, escalate, and proactively mitigate technical and execution risks.
- Manage workstreams through Airbnb's product lifecycle and contribute to bi-annual release planning.
- Translate complex technical information, dependencies, and tradeoffs into clear updates for Engineering Directors and senior leadership.
- Drive execution through influence and cross-functional stakeholder management without direct authority.
Must-Have Skills:- 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex software programs.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional engineering programs from planning through delivery/release.
- Understanding of frontend/backend integrations and software systems.
- Experience coordinating programs across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proven experience with program execution, dependency management, risk mitigation, and escalation.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and senior leadership audiences.
- Experience with consumer-facing technology/products.
- Airbnb or similar high-scale consumer technology platform experience is a plus.
